The Edge Report | October 31, 2026

Four straight wagers. Three underdog moneylines, one road favorite against the spread, and a half-unit parlay for the sweep.

The Saturday card

  • Wisconsin ML +114 — 1U

  • Northwestern ML +155 — 1U

  • New Mexico −13 (−130) — 1.3U to win 1U

  • USC ML +250 — 1U

Where the projections fit

Northwestern: Our saved projection has the Wildcats winning 28–25 at Oregon. We’re taking the outright price at +155.

Wisconsin ML +114 — 1U: Our projection has Iowa winning 22–21, but we’re riding Wisconsin’s momentum and backing the Badgers outright. The read is that this game will be won on third down. Wisconsin needs to extend its own drives and get Iowa off the field when the opportunity comes. In a projected one-point game, those conversions and stops can decide who gets the extra scoring possession. Iowa is the projected winner; Wisconsin is our play. Badgers ML.

New Mexico: Our projection is a 30–16 Lobos win at San José State. That clears −13 by one point, so the projected margin is narrow. The wager is 1.3U to win 1U at −130. Jason Eck is building a program flying under the radar with power running and suffocating defense. They are just now getting the respect of bettors.

USC ML +250 — 1U: Ohio State is without injured starting quarterback Julian Sayin, with true freshman Luke Fahey expected to make his first collegiate start on the road. That’s a demanding assignment at the Coliseum. We’re backing USC’s offense to put points on the board and force the young quarterback to answer. The Read: the Trojans outscore Ohio State and deliver the big home-underdog upset. Our saved season projection favors Ohio State 32–23 and includes no injury adjustment; this play backs USC in the changed quarterback situation. Trojans ML.

Hunt the sweep

Four-leg parlay +3279 — 0.5U to win approximately 16.4U.

Wisconsin ML + Northwestern ML + New Mexico −13 + USC ML.

The four straight wagers total 4.3U risked to win 6.19U. The additional 0.5U parlay brings the total card exposure to 4.8U. All four legs must cash for the sweep ticket to win.

Let’s get to work.
