ISSUE #2 | OCTOBER 22, 2026

This week: UFC finishes and Edge favorites, NHL money and line movement, college short dogs with outright potential, and NFL spreads worth watching. Here’s where I’m looking—and why.

THIS WEEK’S FEATURED EDGE

🥊 UFC: Finishes and Edge favorites

Picking a winner is the start. Figuring out how to bet that fight is where the next decision happens.

This week, our focus is on favorites supported by our Edge analysis and matchups that point toward a finish.

With favorites, I want the matchup and the price to agree. We can have the right fighter and still pay too much. When the moneyline gets expensive, we either find another market supported by the analysis or pass.

For finishes, I’m looking at how the fight is likely to develop. Can one fighter consistently get to a position where the other is vulnerable? Does that create a credible submission opportunity? Is there a striking mismatch that makes a stoppage worth examining?

Our submission double last card showed why that extra work matters. We identified a way to bet the fights beyond simply choosing the winners.

We keep the proprietary Edge Scores premium. What you’ll get is the selection, the reasoning, and the price we’re willing to take.

🏒 NHL: High-handle favorites with steam

In hockey, our featured setup is favorites attracting the higher share of money while the line moves toward them.

I want the opening price verified. Then I want to know how much money is on that side and how far the number has moved.

From there, we check the goalie, rest, travel, and matchup. The betting activity gives us something to investigate; it doesn’t do the entire job.

And we still need an entry price. Getting interested in a favorite early doesn’t mean chasing it after the market has made it substantially more expensive.

RESULTS TRACKER

NFL: +2.00U ✅
UFC: +0.76U ✅
Trailing 12 Months: +280U

Last week parlays helped put both sports in profit, so parlays are not for suckers. They are a tool for leverage to be used appropriately.

The UFC highlight was our Koslow/Galanti submission double at +379, paying 3.79 units of profit per unit risked.

But the full UFC card finished +0.76U. That’s the result after the other tickets are accounted for, and that’s what belongs in the tracker.

NFL added +2.00U, bringing the two sports to +2.76U combined.

I’ll take the profit without pretending every decision was perfect. We review the losing bets, the winning bets, and whether each one was worth the price.

A winning parlay doesn’t give the next one a free pass.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

🥊 UFC finishes and Edge favorites

Murzakanov–Reyes and Yakhyaev–Krylov are on our finish watchlist. Santos moneyline is also on the radar, supported by our Edge analysis and concerns over his opponent’s recent knockout losses. We’re comparing finish props and moneyline prices before locking anything in. The matchup gets our attention. The price determines whether we bet.

🏒 NHL line moves

We’re following which moves continue, which stall, and which reverse. We’re also watching for movement against the higher-handle side. The opening number and the latest price need to come from a consistent source so we’re measuring an actual move.

🏈 College football short dogs

Smaller spread underdogs, 1 to 3 points are on the radar where our projections suggest the game could be won out right by the dog.

Then comes the decision: take the points or take the moneyline? We’ll weigh the projections, matchup and go for the value.

Central Michigan +2.5 vs. Miami (OH) fits our short-dog profile. Our home/away scoring formula projects Central Michigan 32.0, Miami 18.8, putting an outright win on the radar. That’s a raw projection, so we’re checking the matchup and available price before choosing the points or moneyline.

🏈 NFL spreads

We’re comparing projected margins with the available spreads, then checking injuries and matchup details.

Around key numbers, a half-point matters. Liking a team doesn’t mean accepting whatever spread is on the screen. We’ll set the number we’re willing to bet and stay disciplined if it moves away.

Dallas at Philadelphia: Watching Dallas -3.5, with Dimers projecting a 24–19 Cowboys win. The quarterback situation in Philadelphia remains part of the evaluation. A move to -4.5 reduces the appeal, we’re watching the number before committing.

We don’t need a bet on every game. We need a reason for every bet.
