ISSUE #3 · WEEK ENDING OCTOBER 25, 2026
A PROFITABLE WEEK. PLENTY TO REVIEW.
We finished the last seven days 9–18, up 1.12 units with a 3.2% ROI. The last 30 days stand at +30.59 units and 19.81% ROI, according to our tracking dashboard.
The weekly record wasn’t pretty. The return stayed positive. Both belong in the recap, and so do the losses that kept the week from being stronger.
UFC: VOLKANOVSKI DELIVERS. THE FINISH PARLAY FALLS SHORT.
Alexander Volkanovski stopped Movsar Evloev at 4:54 of the second round to retain his featherweight championship. Petr Yan also kept his belt, defeating Merab Dvalishvili by unanimous decision, 48–47 on all three scorecards.
Aaron Pico needed just 74 seconds to stop Losene Keita. Abus Magomedov submitted Cam Rowston in the opening round, while Alexander Volkov defeated Rizvan Kuniev by decision.
Our two-fight finish parlay split its legs: Pico–Keita ended inside the distance, but Vagaev–Malkoun reached the judges. The ticket lost.
The Edge takeaway: The Malkoun fight was the difference. A card packed with early finishes still left that specific matchup going the distance. We own the losing ticket.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL: WISCONSIN’S DEFENSE, COLORADO STATE’S OFFENSE—AND A MEMPHIS MISS.
BIG 12 DOGS. TWO COVERS. PARLAY CASHED.
Our two-leg parlay won: Cincinnati +14.5 at home against Texas Tech, paired with West Virginia +14.5 on the road at TCU. Both underdogs covered their numbers, cashing the ticket. ✅
Wisconsin 24, USC 7. The Badgers held the Trojans scoreless after halftime and closed the game with a lengthy touchdown drive. USC never found the second-half answer.
Colorado State 56, San Diego State 49. Hauss Hejny accounted for five touchdowns as the Rams snapped a four-game losing streak. Colorado State supplied the offense it needed—but allowing 49 points remains part of the story.
New Mexico 21, North Dakota State 16. Austin Brawley’s 56-yard interception return for a touchdown provided the decisive swing. The Lobos improved to 6–1 and secured bowl eligibility.
Memphis 41, East Carolina 34 in overtime. The Tigers recovered from a 16–3 halftime deficit, but our Memphis −8.5, 1U play lost. Penalties, execution errors and the slow start left too much work for the comeback.
The Edge takeaway: Memphis delivered the clearest reminder of the weekend: winning the game doesn’t erase a losing spread ticket. The Tigers survived; our number didn’t.
NHL: MINNESOTA TAKES CARE OF BUSINESS ON THE ROAD.
Minnesota beat Seattle 5–1 on Saturday, then followed it with a 4–2 win in Vancouver on Sunday—two road wins by a combined 9–3.
Kirill Kaprizov scored just 26 seconds into the Seattle game, and Blake Coleman added two goals. Against Vancouver, Quinn Hughes scored and assisted in his return to Rogers Arena, reaching 500 career points.
Both Minnesota victories came by multiple goals. Those are convincing results, though they don’t establish a weekly betting record without matching each wager to its ticket.
The Edge takeaway: Minnesota didn’t merely scrape through the back-to-back. It won both games by at least two goals. Seattle, meanwhile, managed only one goal on Saturday, a detail worth remembering alongside its earlier high-scoring games.
NFL: PITTSBURGH CASHES. KANSAS CITY GETS SHUT DOWN.
Steelers 16, Saints 10. Our Steelers moneyline, 2U play won. Pittsburgh held New Orleans to just 18 rushing yards, while Jaylen Warren rushed for 101. That advantage on the ground helped Pittsburgh leave Paris with the victory.
Seahawks 20, Chiefs 3. Our free Kansas City moneyline selection lost. Seattle controlled the game, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba delivered 150 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The Edge takeaway: The defensive numbers tell the story: Pittsburgh allowed 18 rushing yards; Seattle allowed three points. The Steelers delivered for us. Kansas City didn’t, and that loss gets the same visibility as the win.
Another week recorded: +1.12U, with the wins, misses and lessons all included.
Which performance impressed you most: Wisconsin’s defense, Minnesota’s road sweep or Seattle shutting down Kansas City?
