OCTOBER 27 RECAP

A TOUGH NIGHT. WE OWN IT.

Some nights the results go against us. Tuesday brought a lopsided college football loss, a World Series walk-off and a third-period collapse in Anaheim. Here's what happened, and where our picks finished.

SAM HOUSTON: THE OFFENSE NEVER GOT GOING

Missouri State beat Sam Houston 24–3. The Bearkats managed just 26 rushing yards, committed 10 penalties and never reached the end zone. Missouri State scored twice in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Our ticket: Sam Houston +7.5 was paired with Milwaukee moneyline in a two-leg parlay at +201, risking 1 unit. The parlay lost.

WORLD SERIES: RAYS SURVIVE IN 12

Tampa Bay beat Milwaukee 4–3 in 12 innings to avoid a sweep and force Game 5. The Brewers still lead the series 3–1.

Cooper Pratt put Milwaukee ahead with a home run in the top of the 12th. Tampa Bay responded after a throwing error extended the inning: Jonny DeLuca singled home the tying run, and Ben Williamson followed with the walk-off hit.

Milwaukee was one win from its first championship, but Tampa Bay found a way to extend the series. The Brewers moneyline leg lost alongside Sam Houston.

ANAHEIM: A LEAD SLIPS AWAY

Anaheim built a 4–1 lead against Vancouver, but the Canucks scored four times in the third period and forced overtime. Our Ducks −1.5 at +110 lost; an overtime game cannot produce a two-goal victory.

THE EDGE TAKEAWAY: DISCIPLINE AFTER A LOSS

Some nights the bounces go the other way. Trends go through difficult stretches, and one result neither proves a system is broken nor guarantees the next play wins. Review the evidence, respect the price and keep looking for value.

Bankroll management matters most when results are frustrating. Stick to a consistent staking plan, avoid chasing losses and give the process enough time to be evaluated honestly.

We track the misses with the wins. That accountability is part of the work.
